TEAM PXL
Jack Tang President

As the President and Co-Founder of The Pixelmakers, I focus heavily on operations and business strategies for our company, which includes attracting the right talent to become part of our family and creating opportunities for growth. The joy and excitement I get from creative collaboration is very similar to that of when I observe my baby boy Leroy, as he smiles and giggles over new accomplishments. The boundless anticipation of being fulfilled by something new every day is extraordinarily rewarding. Both my son and the company continue to grow with no limit.

My favorite design element is a line. For as long as I can remember, I’ve been intrigued by the infinite amount of line patterns and styles. With a simple twist, a line that is rigid can transform into something elegant, something exciting.

When we started The Pixelmakers, I wanted to follow one credo: When you love what you do, you are never working…

That belief has never been truer. I love stepping out my front door and being excited about what the day will bring. I love walking into our studio and being surrounded by people who bring that same energy. Being able to provide a space where we feed off of each other’s creativity, pick each other up when we fall, and where we can follow all our passions and interests is very rewarding.

I’m living the dream. I’m providing an inimitable service to our clients and sharing this dream with my team. How can I not be grateful?

Love, peace, chicken grease.

I once tried to make Doritos from scratch but ended up creating pure gold. Still can’t figure out that recipe for nacho cheese Doritos.

As a young man I left home at the age of 10 leaving my mother behind in order to catch animals and train them to fight eachother. I said to myself…Gotta catch em all.

If Arnold Schwarzenegger’s tombstone doesn’t say “I’ll be back…” someone has made a grave mistake.

Daisy Bolger
Multimedia Artist

Wow a whole section just about me?! Well then let me introduce myself. I’m Daisy; an artist that my started my journey when an owl flew into my house and dropped a very fancy looking letter on the table. It said I had been accepted into a magical school for gifted young artists where I would learn all about my true powers in creation. I was ecstatic. I packed up all my belongings and set out on the road. Google maps took me on a crazy route where I had to avoid several wamping willows, some highway patrol dementors, and a flying broom collision holding up traffic. Finally, I arrived, and I stood in front of the grand entrance marveling at my new home… The Pixelmakers of course!

I am extremely passionate about design and I’m not afraid to challenge the rules of art to create a unique and successful composition or narrative. I have a bachelor’s degree in graphic design and photography from Santa Clara University. Now, I am a Pixelmaker where I make stuff look awesome with the team and have a lot of fun doing it.

Alex Donati
Junior Graphic Designer

I was born (3 months early actually) and raised in the Bay Area until I left for college at the University of Colorado at Boulder where I thoroughly enjoyed the football games and watching Ralphie run. I received a Bachelor of Science in Strategic Communications with an emphasis on Creative Advertising and a minor in Creative Technology and Design. I like to joke that my parents adopted me because they both have careers in STEM and absolutely hate to bake or cook, which are things that I love to do. In my free time I like to crochet, which I have been doing for just over a year and watch Hamilton and Mamma Mia which are my favorite musicals!

If you ever want to clone me:
2 cups designer
1.5 cups baker
1 cup crocheter
1/2 cup Mamma Mia and Hamilton Lyrics
1/2 cup boba

I’m a geek and that’s a good thing. My first job in the world of computers involved punch cards, remember those? That was in Buffalo NY, a great place to live, go Bills! But too-many winters and a dot.com boom brought me to Silicon Valley in 2000. In my career I’ve worked for startups and Fortune 100 companies. Since 2017 I’ve been an independent computer consultant. I can write code, design systems and/or manage a team of developers scattered about the globe, whatever the client needs.

When I’m not on Zoom or typing away at a keyboard, you can find me on a golf course or playing ice hockey. Oh yeah, go Sabres! My 2 grown kids followed in my footsteps and both are fellow geeks with degrees in engineering. I do call them for advice from time to time.

When the Pixelmakers need someone to write code, they pick up the bat phone and call me. They take the output of my work and make it shine much better than I ever could. We make a great team.
